China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (CNHTC) has been successfully selected as a pilot project for the digital transformation of manufacturing industry in Shandong Province in 2026.

Recently, the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of pilot projects for digital transformation of the manufacturing industry in 2026. The “Integrated Digital Empowerment Platform for Multi-Scenario and Multi-Entity Collaboration in the Commercial Vehicle Industry Chain” project, led by China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., was successfully selected and is listed in the direction of industrial chain transformation, becoming one of the 75 pilot projects in the province.

This project adopts an overall architecture of “one platform, six centers, and multiple applications,” with a chain-based transformation platform at its core. It comprehensively builds six capability centers: R&D collaboration, production collaboration, supplier management, customer service collaboration, data intelligence, and quality traceability. These centers cover multiple application scenarios across the industry chain, including collaborative R&D, manufacturing, data integration, and intelligent services. The core objective is to connect data across the entire industry chain, driving collaborative transformation among upstream and downstream enterprises and comprehensively enhancing the overall competitiveness of the industry chain.

This “challenge-based” initiative aims to select a group of leading enterprises with advanced digitalization capabilities and strong demonstrative effects. These enterprises will focus on tackling common industry challenges to achieve breakthroughs and lead the province’s manufacturing industry to accelerate its digital and intelligent upgrade.
