Shandong Heavy Industry and CIMC Group Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
On June 23, Shandong Heavy Industry Group and China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIMC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Jinan. Wang Zhijian, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, held discussions with Gao Xiang, Deputy Party Secretary and President of CIMC, and witnessed the signing ceremony.
Wang Zhijian welcomed the delegation from CIMC Group. He noted that CIMC is a leading global supplier of logistics and energy equipment, and its operations align closely with Shandong Heavy Industry in areas such as industrial chain layout, globalization, and the transition to green development. The two parties have established strategic mutual trust and achieved deep integration through long-standing cooperation. Currently, Shandong Heavy Industry is accelerating its strategic transformation toward green, global, digital-intelligent, and ecosystem-oriented operations, aiming to build a world-class multinational high-end equipment group. He expressed hope that both sides would leverage their respective industrial strengths to deepen collaborative innovation and expand cooperation in sectors such as commercial vehicles, marine power systems, clean energy, and smart logistics. By joining forces to explore global markets, they can contribute to the high-quality development of the equipment manufacturing industry.
Gao Xiang outlined the development of CIMC Group. He stated that both Shandong Heavy Industry and CIMC are leaders in China’s high-end equipment manufacturing sector, boasting robust industrial foundations and a high degree of internationalization, with strong synergy and complementarity between them. CIMC attaches great importance to its strategic partnership with Shandong Heavy Industry and intends to leverage its core strengths—including road transport vehicles, clean energy equipment, offshore engineering equipment, and smart logistics—to engage in comprehensive, in-depth, and practical cooperation. He expressed confidence that by combining their respective strengths and sharing resources, the two companies would achieve greater success in areas such as the green, low-carbon transition and global expansion, jointly propelling China’s equipment manufacturing industry toward the high end of the global value chain.
Hu Haihua, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Li Yinhui, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of CIMC Group, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties. Under the agreement, the two sides will deepen cooperation in areas such as high-end equipment, clean energy, smart logistics, international markets, and new strategic businesses to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
